Townhouse of Zinaida Ivanovna Yusupova, nee Naryshkin (1810-1893). Designed by Harald Bosse and buildt by Ludwig Bonshtedt. The construction began in 1852, and ended in 1858. Inspired by Italian renaissance and with elements of baroque architecture, the building was built with sandstone from Bremen in Germany, and from Gatchina. The facade is decorated with columns and pilasters, while caryatids flank the main entrance.
The last owner of the palace, which was reknowned for its beautiful libraries, concert and portrait halls, was Felix Yusupov. In 1908, the building was leased to the Union of musicians and dramatists, but when World War I came, the townhouse was turned into a hospital. The building was siezed by the bolsheviks, and it is currently used by St. Petersburg Institute of Foreign Economic Relations, Economics and Law.
